Rosé Quartet: founded 1882. Members: second violin - Julius Egghard, Albert Bachrich, Paul Fischer (joined before 1900); viola - Anton Loh, Hugo von Steiner, Anton Ruzicka (joined 1901), Max Handl (1930s); cello - Eduard Rosé, Reinhold Hummer, Freidrich Buxbaum (joined 1900), Anton Walter (1921). Later, in the 1930s, Buxbaum re-joined. Rosé also formed a quartet when in exile in England, with Buxbaum as cellist.
